About Course

THIS COURSE IS ONLY IN FRENCH

Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 9am to 6pm (6 hours)

This course targets primary care providers, including physicians, physiotherapists, and radiology technicians, who want to integrate clinical ultrasound into their practice to enhance patient care. It specifically focuses on examining conditions affecting the posterior leg, a critical area for primary care practitioners. The 6-hour foundational module is structured into six chapters, combining theory and hands-on practice. It covers the ultrasound evaluation of normal structures (tendons, ligaments, muscles, nerves, veins, and arteries) and common pathologies of the posterior leg, such as popliteal cysts, Achilles tendinopathies, deep vein thrombosis, and meniscal injuries. Key concepts, such as anisotropy and the popliteal fossa, will be discussed in depth, alongside conditions like hematomas, muscle tears, and plantar fasciitis.
